RoboCop: NECA secures Peter Weller likeness rights for new figures

The collectibles makers at NECA have made RoboCop figures in the past, but they had to do so without using the likeness of Peter Weller, who played the character in the original RoboCop (watch it HERE) and RoboCop 2 (watch that one HERE). Weller’s likeness rights proved to be too costly to obtain back in the day – but NECA has overcome that issue just in time for the original film’s 35th anniversary! Shipping out in April/May 2022 are two new figures: the Ultimate RoboCop Action Figure and the Ultimate Battle Damaged RoboCop with Chair, and both of them feature the likeness of Peter Weller!

Here’s the information on the Ultimate RoboCop Action Figure:

Part man. Part machine. All cop. For the 35th anniversary of the cult classic movie RoboCop in 2022, the crime fighter from future Detroit gets the Ultimate treatment from NECA!

Battle criminals and rogue enforcement droids alike with an array of accessories: interchangeable data spike fist, Auto-9 pistol that fits into a hidden spring-loaded leg holster, Cobra Assault Cannon, attachable muzzle blast effect, and an additional interchangeable head with the likeness of Peter Weller.

This 7” scale figure features upgraded deco and digital printing. Comes in collector-friendly window box packaging with opening flap.
