Rockwell digs teens

JoBloJoBlo

The guy who made the John Cusack Iraq War drama/depressant GRACE IS GONE may not seem like a fun guy based on that, but he’s doing a comedy for his next flick.

James Strouse will write and direct a comedy called THE WINNING SEASON, which stars the reliable Sam Rockwell as a down-on-his-luck single dad trying to impress his teen daughter by coaching her basketball team to victory. Teen chicks in gym shorts!

The movie will also star Emma Roberts (NANCY DREW) and former "DAILY SHOW" correspondent and awful Homeland Security agent Rob Corddry. Rockwell will next be seen gagging for Palahniuk in CHOKE and helping Tricky Dick in FROST/NIXON.
