Johnny B and the DC recently scored a sweet exclusive interview with the man known as George Romero at the Haunt X Festival in LA, to discuss his next zombie epic, DIARY OF THE DEAD. The 6 1/2 minute interview covers quite a bit, including Romero talking about how a lot of his other works (DAWN, DAY, CREEPSHOW) ended up being owned by other folks, which was one of the reasons he decided to go indie on DIARY (namely, to own the copyright).

As well, Romero talks about the different experience he had working on the project as opposed to working with Universal (even though Uni left Romero alone when it came to a lot of stuff), and how DIARY takes a lot of jabs at folks (namely the media). It’s a good watch, and if you’re hungry for more, hit up the interview here.
