Sometimes some news comes across your desk, and all you can do is smile. This includes when a movie project finally gets greenlit, or a favorite star has a new flick they’re working… and when a celebrity books an appearance at the local horror film fest.
Such is the case with this year’s Halloween Horror Picture Show 2005, where none other than Ron Jeremy will be attending as one of the fest’s special guests! Ron f*ckin’ Jeremy! He’s not there for porn business though, he’s there promoting his latest horror flick, DEAD MEAT.
To promote this newly announced arrival, the PR department put together an awesome list of unknown facts about our favorite hedgehog. Instead of summing it all together, I thought I’d just reprint here for your very eyes. Prepare to be amazed!
• He has a Masters Degree in Special Education and is licensed to teach in New York. He also has Bachelor’s Degrees in Elementary Education and Acting.
• He can play classical piano and violin.
• He has appeared in more music videos than any other actor – 14 – for artists such as Moby, Kid Rock and Sublime.
• He has performed off-Broadway.
• He was a waiter and maitre d’ at Catskill resorts.
• He appeared on NewsRadio, Nash Bridges, Just Shoot Me, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The View, Nightline, and The Weakest Link.
• He has appeared in 60 mainstream films, including the Emmy Award-winning telefilm Wallace, as well as Detroit Rock City, Orgasmo, Spun, Meet Wally Sparks, Killing Zoe and Toxic Avenger 4.
• He had a major role in the film Boon Dock Saints, starring Willem Dafoe, which was a #1 direct-to-video feature, and he will appear in the sequel.
• He was a consultant on 9 1/2 Weeks, Boogie Nights and 52 Pickup.
• A documentary on his life, Porn Star: The Legend of Ron Jeremy was nominated for a Chicago Film Critics Award.
• He appeared in a commercial with Samuel L. Jackson for the MTV Movie Awards.
• He will co-star in the film Being Ron Jeremy, a takeoff on Being John Malkovich, along with Andy Dick.
Who knew Ron was such a well-rounded guy? Hard to believe he’s had time to do all that, since he’s been in over 1,700 adult films, and took a stab at directing a few as well- 250 of em’! Holy crap!
