Who wants HELLBOY 3 more than Ron Perlman? Despite the outlook of adding a third film to round out the trilogy, Perlman continues to keep hope alive.
During an interview with Shocktilyoudrop.com, Guillermo del Toro revealed that during a break from doing press for PACIFIC RIM that himself, Perlman, and Legendary Pictures head Thomas Tull had a nice talk over dinner. In that time, Perlman brought up doing HELLBOY 3:
I hate giving pieces about it, but last night, we were at dinner and Ron said, ‘I would be very happy to do Hellboy again, when are we doing Hellboy 3?’ Thomas [Tull] said, ‘I would love to see Hellboy 3.’ He didn’t say he would love to do it he just said he’d like to see it, but today, I’ll ask him.
Yesterday the site caught up with Perlman to follow up with the development. The actor agreed that Legendary would be a good fit:
Legendary head Tull did have much to say on the conversation but did say that there are rights issues that would need to be sorted out for Legendary to get involved.
