Rooker Slithers

About a month ago we told you about writer James Gunn (DAWN OF THE DEAD) directorial debut project SLITHER (see article here).

Today The Hollywood Reporter has reported that hottie Elizabeth Banks (SPIDER-MAN) and badass Michael Rooker (CLIFFHANGER) have joined the cast. Rooker stars as the local infected with an alien plague who goes on a killing rampage, with his wife (Banks) on his tail trying to stop him.

I’ve always been a fan of Rooker since CLIFFHANGER, and HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER. The guy can be pretty frickin’ crazy when he needs to be! Who better to be an alien infected psychopath? With these two on board, my excitement for Gunn’s first flick has skyrocketed- sounds like a good time all around!

Production is set to start next month in Vancouver. Stay tuned as we hear about more casting news and other fun tid-bits.
