Last year, Trick or Treat Studios released an officially licensed 1:6 scale figure of the zombie known as the Tarman from the 1985 zombie horror comedy The Return of the Living Dead (watch it HERE). That figure is still available for purchase at THIS LINK, going for the price of $159.99. Now Trick or Treat Studios is accepting pre-orders for another officially licensed The Return of the Living Dead item, one that works as a standalone display or can be used as an accessory for the Tarman figure: a 245 Trioxin barrel set! This one costs $99.99 and can be pre-ordered on the Trick or Treat Studios website.

Here’s the description of the barrel set: Trick or Treat Studios is proud to present the officially licensed, The Return of the Living Dead – 245 Trioxin Barrel Set. This set is a fun standalone and a perfect display accessory for the 1:6 scale Tarman figure. Carefully open the lid of the lost military barrel and find Tarman trapped inside. Turn the knob on the side to switch between the safely encased Tarman face and his face once he is awakened! Arrives in a beautiful collector’s box.

The set includes a 245 Trioxin barrel, a split dog specimen, and Uneeda Medical Supplies basement corner diorama. A few images of the set can be seen at the bottom of this article, and more can be seen at the Trick or Treat Studios link – including an image that shows Tarman posing with the barrel, and a look at how the “Tarman in the barrel” face changes.

Night of the Living Dead alums Rudy Ricci, John A. Russo, and Russell Streiner crafted the initial story for The Return of the Living Dead, intending for it to be a follow-up to Night. Then writer/director Dan O’Bannon got involved and did a complete overhaul, telling the following story: When foreman Frank shows new employee Freddy a secret military experiment in a supply warehouse, the two klutzes accidentally release a gas that reanimates corpses into flesh-eating zombies. As the epidemic spreads throughout Louisville, Ky., and the creatures satisfy their hunger in gory and outlandish ways, Frank and Freddy fight to survive with the help of their boss and a mysterious mortician.

The film stars Clu Gulager, James Karen, Don Calfa, Thom Mathews, Beverly Randolph, Miguel A. Nunez Jr., John Philbin, Jewel Shepard, Brian Peck, Linnea Quigley, Mark Venturini, Jonathan Terry, and Allan Trautman.
