Routh’s a Dog

Comicbook Resources is reporting that Brandon “Superman” Routh will be starring in the role of Dylan Dog in the film DEAD OF NIGHT. David R. Ellis (SNAKES ON A PLANE) will be directing from a script written by Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer.

“Dylan Dog” is a popular comic-book series created by Tiziano Sclavi, and also served as the inspiration for CEMETERY MAN, the Michele Soavi-directed horror/comedy starring Rupert Everett and Anna Falchi. The character is a private investigator who specializes in the supernatural. The flick is scheduled to begin shooting in Connecticut, with a budget of around $35 million.
