In August it was reported the BOND 24 producers were looking for someone to play an "instantly iconic" henchman (similar to Oddjob and Jaws) named Hinx in the next 007 flick. According to LR's sources, they have found their henchman in the form of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY's Dave Bautista.
While only a rumor, the report from a few weeks ago described Hinx (which is currently the working name for the character) as "extremely physically fit and over 6' 2" and besides anyone very unusual, the producers were also considering former sports athletes for the role. Sounds to me like they found what they were looking for with Bautista.
I think almost everyone was pleasantly surprised by Dave Bautista's performance in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, and I'm thinking the Marvel film may have helped him land the role. Last week we learned BLUE IS THE WARMEST COLOR's Lea Seydoux might be playing the femme fatale in the Sam Mendes movie, and with filming scheduled to start in December, I wouldn't be surprised if there's an official announcement soon about the new cast members joining the project. BOND 24 is set to open on November 6, 2015.
