When we first heard about the horror thriller project Run Rabbit Run back in 2020, The Invisible Man‘s Elisabeth Moss was set to star in the film – but by the time it went into production, Emmy nominee Sarah Snook, best known for her role on the HBO series Succession, had taken the lead. The film will be available to watch through the Netflix streaming service as of June 28th, and with that date swiftly approaching Netflix has unveiled a trailer. Snook’s character in the film is a fertility doctor who believes firmly in life and death, but after noticing the strange behavior of her young daughter, must challenge her own values and confront a ghost from her past.
Run Rabbit Run was directed by Daina Reid, who has worked on Apple’s The Shining Girls, Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, HBO’s The Outsider, and Amazon’s Upload. Reid and Snook previously worked together on the ABC mini-series The Secret River. The screenplay for the film has been written by acclaimed novelist Hannah Kent, based on an idea developed with Carver Films.
Run Rabbit Run is a Carver Films production, with major production investment from XYZ and Screen Australia, in association with Film Victoria, the South Australian Film Corporation, the Adelaide Film Festival Investment Fund, and Soundfirm. Anna McLeish and Sarah Shaw of Carver Films produced the film, with XYZ Films executive producing alongside 30West, Deanne Weir, and Olivia Humphrey. XYZ Films financed through its production fund backed by IPR.VC, in conjunction with Screen Australia.

The movie seems interesting enough to me, so I’ll give it a chance at some point. I can’t say I’m hyped up for it, but might as well kill some time with it on some Netflixy evening.
