Run Sweetheart Run trailer: Ella Balinska tries to survive a deadly game in Shana Feste’s new thriller

Last Updated on October 10, 2022

I hope Ella Balinska hasn’t been skipping Cardio Day because she’s about to head for the hills in Amazon‘s Run Sweetheart Run trailer. Arriving on Amazon just in time for the spooky season (October 28th, to be exact), Run Sweetheart Run is helmed by a remarkable team of women in front and behind the camera.

Here’s the official synopsis for Run Sweetheart Run:

Initially apprehensive when her boss insists she meets with one of his most important clients, single mom Cherie (Ella Balinska) is relieved and excited when she meets charismatic Ethan (Pilou Asbæk). The influential businessman defies expectations and sweeps Cherie off her feet. But at the end of the night, when the two are alone together, he reveals his true, violent nature. Battered and terrified, she flees for her life, beginning a relentless cat-and-mouse game with a bloodthirsty assailant hell-bent on her utter destruction. In this edge-of-your-seat dark thriller, Cherie finds herself in the crosshairs of a conspiracy stranger and more evil than she could have ever imagined.

Amazon is partnering with Blumhouse for this pulse-pounding presentation directed by Shana Feste (Dirty DianaCountry Strong). The Run Sweetheart Run trailer combines elements of horror with survival-thriller features. While Ethan appears like an ordinary man, the tail-end of the trailer suggests otherwise. Is there something more sinister and supernatural lurking beneath the surface?

Producing Run Sweetheart Run are Effie T. Brown (The InspectionDear White People), Jason Blum (Get OutHalloween Kills), and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (InsidiousSinister), and stars Ella Balinska (Charlie’s AngelsResident Evil). The film also stars Shohreh Aghdashloo, Clark Gregg, Dayo Okeniyi, and Betsy Brandt.

Amazon’s Run Sweetheart Run trailer is giving me Ready or Not vibes. I love a thrilling tale of survival, especially with a badass at the center of the action. Despite being unceremoniously canceled after one season, Balinska proved she has what it takes to be a bonafide wrecking machine in Netflix’s Resident Evil series. I look forward to watching her take Ethan apart limb by limb as she fights to survive Feste’s new film. In the comments, let us know your thoughts about Amazon’s Run Sweetheart Run trailer.
