Here is news so exciting I can hardly hold myself together… Alright, maybe not really. But the fact remains that RZA, one of the founding members of the Wu-Tang Clan (who ain’t, mind you, nothin’ to f*ck with), has just joined the impressive cast of REPOSSESSION MAMBO… RZA joins Forest Whitaker, Jude Law, Liev Schreiber, Alice Braga, and Carice van Houten. The film will be directed by relative newcomer Miguel Sapochnik.

RZA has in recent years been turning more and more to cinema, as both an actor (DERAILED, AMERICAN GANGSTER) and composer (KILL BILL, BLADE:TRINITY, GHOST DOG: WAY OF THE SAMARAI).

RZA explained his character’s situation a bit to MTV: “I play a music producer who is strung out on drugs, and I can’t afford to pay my bills. They’ve got to repossess my heart.”

That would be Whitaker and Law the rapper is talking about…

REPOSSESSION MAMBO has an undetermined 2009 release date – which gives Darren Lynn Bousman’s similar-in-theory REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA a significant leg-up in the organ-taking sweepstakes.

Carice van Houten… Check out Verhoeven’s BLACK BOOK to see “more.”
