The reboot of CONAN continues to grow stronger and stronger every day, as the cast continues to gain some incredible talent, and today is no different.
According to THR, Said Taghmaoui has joined the cast of the Marcus Nispel film, joining Jason Momoa, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Bob Sapp, Leo Howard, and Ron Perlman. Very nice!
So where have you seen Taghmaoui before? You may recognize him as Breaker in last summer’s GI JOE: RISE OF COBRA, he’s also appeared in a few episodes of LOST, and other smaller roles in random movies every once in a while (like VANTAGE POINT and THREE KINGS).
Taghmaoui will be playing a leader of thieves who is saved by Conan in the film, a role I can actually see this dude playing quite well. He has that ‘world of Conan’ look going for him. My only fear is, now that Taghmaoui and other GI JOE co-star Nichols (below) are in the same movie again, the film will go down the GI JOE path of quality. And that would be a very scary thing. But Nispel’s the man in charge, and I have faith he’ll pull through with something kick-ass.
