Salma Hayek kills everyone in the badass trailer for Joe Lynch’s Everly

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

No bones about it, I am in love with Salma Hayek. I freely admit it. There is something about her that just drives me nuts. Hell, I even watched that pile of crap BANDIDAS just because she was in it. Ever since DESPERADO and FROM DUSK TIL DAWN, Salma has done it for me in anything she has appeared in. In recent years, she hasn’t had many star vehicles worth writing home about, but now we have the first look at director Joe Lynch‘s action flick EVERLY.

I have a feeling that the KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM director and Hayek had a lot of fun on the set of this movie which looks like a cross between KILL BILL and THE RAID. I may be overstating things a bit, but EVERLY looks like one hell of a fun movie.

An action/thriller centered on a woman who faces down assassins sent by her ex, a mob boss, while holed up in her apartment.

I love the fact that this movie is set completely within the apartment of Hayek’s character and a slew of assassins, killers, and thugs descend upon the seemingly innocent woman who turns out to be a murderous badass. This is genre action at it’s best and Lynch once again proves his is a director to be reckoned with. I cannot wait to see this movie in action.

EVERLY hits theaters on February 27, 2015.
