Sam Rockwell joins the cast of the David Gordon Green comedy The Sitter

David Gordon Green’s comedy about drug dealers chasing down a babysitter is forming quite a cast for itself.

TheWrap is reporting that the awesome Sam Rockwell (CONVICTION) will be jumping aboard the David Gordon Green (YOUR HIGHNESS) comedy THE SITTER. Rockwell joins the likes of Jonah Hill (MONEYBALL), Max Records (WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE), Kevin Hernandez (“My Name is Earl”), newcomer Landry Bender, J.B. Smoove (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”), and CONVICTION co-star Ari Graynor.

Here’s TheWrap with the story deets: “Hill stars as a college dropout who agrees to look after three mischievous children as a favor to his mother. He’s forced to take kids with him while he scores some drugs for a girl, but when the deal goes bad, the night turns into a wild chase through New York City, where Hill proves his mettle as a babysitter.” Rockwell and Smoove will play the villainous drug dealers, the combination of which I’m totally loving.

Rockwell and Graynor (along with Hilary Swank, Minnie Driver, and Melissa Leo) can be seen this weekend in the drama/thriller CONVICTION. THE SITTER is currently filming in New York and is looking to open July 15, 2011.
