Sam Worthington is currently back to playing a blue cat person on Pandora in the four AVATAR sequels James Cameron is making, but during the long wait for those sequels to go into production he must have gotten impatient to play a person who goes to another world and becomes something else again, because that's what he's doing in THE TITAN. This time, though, he becomes something else before he goes to the other world – and runs into some troubles that may get him stuck on Earth.

Directed by Lennart Ruff from a screenplay by Max Hurwitz (story by Arash Amel), THE TITAN has the following synopsis:

In the near future, a military family is chosen to participate in a ground-breaking experiment to accelerate man’s genetic evolution in order to relocate humanity to another planet.

Worthington is joined in the cast by Taylor Schilling, Tom Wilkinson, and Nathalie Emmanuel. Honestly, it's that supporting cast that makes me most interested in seeing THE TITAN. Watching the trailer, I can't tell if this is going to be underwhelming sci-fi or a decent creature feature.

Whatever it is, we're going to find out very soon, as Netflix will be releasing the film through their streaming service on March 30th.
