Sam Worthington undergoes a dangerous transformation in The Titan trailer

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

As humanity consumes its natural resources and our planet quickly becomes inhabitable, we would need to travel to another world if our species is to survive, and in the trailer for the upcoming Netflix movie THE TITAN, it seems that Saturn's largest moon could become our new home. However, in order to survive, those chosen to undergo the mission must participate in a ground-breaking experiment to accelerate their genetic evolution which leaves them transformed into something else. Sam Worthington (AVATAR) plays one of the candidates under the supervision of Tom Wilkinson (SELMA), with Taylor Schilling (Orange is the New Black) playing the wife of Worthington's character and Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones) playing another member of the experiment.

THE TITAN was meant for a theatrical release at one point, but Netflix picked up the film last month in order to add it to their ever expanding library. I suppose it doesn't look too bad, but it also isn't doing much to distinguish itself. I suppose Sam Worthington needs something to do before all those AVATAR sequels hit theaters. THE TITAN will be released on Netflix on March 30th.
