For a while it seemed like Aussie actor Sam Worthington was unavoidable, but his smaller movies (THE DEBT, LAST NIGHT, TEXAS KILLING FIELDS) have been quietly sliding around the schedule.
The thriller MAN ON A LEDGE will hit the pavement next January, a month traditionally considered a dumping ground but in recent years has kicked out box office successes like CLOVERFIELD, TAKEN and PAUL BLART. It’s got an impressive supporting cast, although apparently Anthony Mackie’s role is too secret to include in the trailer. Plenty of room for Genesis Rodriguez’s rack, though!
Synopsis: An ex-cop and now wanted fugitive stands on the ledge of a high-rise building while a hard-living New York Police Department negotiator tries to talk him down. The longer they are on the ledge, the more she realizes that he might have an ulterior objective.
