Samuel L. Jackson is a badass President in the domestic trailer for Big Game

Last Updated on March 15, 2024

While we got to see the international trailer for BIG GAME back in January, we now have our first domestic trailer for the Presidential action adventure movie. Maybe it is because I just binged the third season of HOUSE OF CARDS, but I am very excited for a look at another badass President.

BIG GAME comes from RARE EXPORTS director Jalmari Helander. If you know the Santa Claus horror movie, then you should have a good idea what to expect from this movie. Still, despite being set in Finland, BIG GAME features a pretty good cast of English-speaking actors including Victor Garber, Ray Stevenson, Jim Broadbent, and Felicity Huffman.

In the rugged countryside of Finland, a young thirteen-year-old (Onni Tommila) embarks on a traditional quest to prove himself by spending 24 hours alone in the wild, armed with only a bow and arrow. After witnessing a spectacular crash, he discovers the escape pod from Air Force One, containing the President of the United States (Samuel L. Jackson). When they realize a group of kidnappers is hot on their trail with the intention of taking the president, this unlikely duo must escape their hunters as they search for the American Special Forces team sent out to find them.

Our very own Chris Bumbray reviewed the film last year and said it was a low budget good time, so you really shouldn’t expect more than that. I mean, there are very few President in jeopardy movies that are very good, so this seems like a good one to sit back and laugh at while having a good drink. Plus, I just hope Samuel L. Jackson drops a couple of motherf*ckers.

BIG GAME opens in limited release and on VOD on June 26, 2015.
