Sandler plays twins

    (Not So) Funny People

An actor playing a set of twins isn’t uncommon in comedies and dramas alike (shivers of Jeremy Irons in DEAD RINGER overtake me…) but what if it’s brother and sister? And what if they’re played by Adam Sandler? Funny or damn creepy?

Sadly it ain’t a sequel to HAPPY GILMORE – that would be funny, Sandler playing Happy and his biker-chick sister…- but a comedy pitch called JACK & JILL written by comedian Ben Zook. No idea what it’s about so for now we’ll just assume the nursery rhyme with the same title is the basis. You know, they’re going up the hill ‘n all… actually can’t remember how it goes. Anyone?

No director is yet attached but Sandler’s Happy Madison shingle and distributor Sony hope to film next spring for an early 2011 release.
