We have an update for you on Peter Jackson’s upcoming ghost story THE LOVELY BONES, as it appears the flick just scored a brand spankin’ new cast member: Susan Sarandon. She’s a legend in her own right, and now she’s gonna be starring alongside Rachel Weisz, Ryan Gosling and Stanley Tucci in the film. Nice cast!
Not that it should be a surprise the cast is turning out the way it is. Considering it’s being directed by the guy who made Hobbits cool again (not to mention one of the goriest movies ever made), and from one of the more popular books in the last few years. Seriously, you know a book’s popular when you go to the used book store and they have like 3 shelves totally devoted to one book (i.e., Alice Sebold’s THE LOVELY BONES). Now that’s what I call a hit!
Sarandon is set to play the grandmother of the murdered girl who eventually moves in with the girls family. Filming is set to begin this October, stick around these parts for more updates as we hear em’!
