Saturday Night Live: Owen Wilson, Rami Malek, Jason Sudeikis & more to host

Live from New York, Saturday Night Live has announced the first round of hosts for the latest season of the long-running sketch comedy series. Chosen to host the 47th season of SNL are Owen Wilson, Rami Malek, Jason Sudeikis, and Kim Kardashian West. Each will serve as the opening hosts for the laugh-out-loud variety show with Kacey Musgraves, Halsey, Young Thug, and Brandi Carlile set as musical guests.

In terms of scheduling, Wilson will host Saturday Night Live for the first time on October 2, with Musgraves as the night’s musical guest. Kardashian West, who hosts on October 9, will be joined by Halsey. Malek, who hosts on October 16, will be accompanied by Young Thug. Last but not least, Sudeikis will host on October 23, with Carlile bringing the noise.

Wilson once appeared on SNL as his Zoolander character Hansel alongside Ben Still in 2016, though he has yet to host. Meanwhile, Kardashian West and Malek have both been satirized on the show but have never hosted. On the other hand, Sudeikis was a featured player on the late-night sketch show between 2003 and 2013. He also played Joe Biden during the 2019/20 season.

The main cast for Season 47 of Saturday Night Live has yet to be confirmed. Let’s hope they exercise a bit more caution when picking their new stars, eh? We don’t need another Shane Gillis situation on our hands.
