Just a few weeks back we got word that SAW IV was starting production in Ontario this month, and low & behold, today the first ‘official’ photos from the flick are now online over at FEARnet!
Not technically photos from the film itself, but official behind-the-scenes photos featuring director Darren Lynn Bousman and star Lyriq Bent. And if THAT’s not too cool enough for you, then THIS should be: the official SYNOPSIS has also just been releases, and boy is it a doozy! Check it:
Jigsaw still haunts the living in Saw IV, forcing them to appreciate life, or face death. As a continuation of Saw III, Jeff must find his daughter and escape the building to which they are confined before they both die. After finding another tape of Jigsaw, Jeff realizes there may be a newly added piece of the puzzle that he must decipher before it’s too late.
Ah…. so that’s how they were able to have Jigsaw come back! He’s still dead, he just had a few more tricks up his sleave at the end of SAW III. Checking out the synopsis here, it actually makes me feel a little better about the flick, as I’ve been in camp ‘f*ck SAW IV’ since it’s announcement, seeing as SAW III wrapped up the series quite nicely. However, as this is basically a continuation of part III (HALLOWEEN II style), I’m a bit more ‘down’ with what they’ll come up with here. I mean, III had some really f*cked up shit, I can only imagine what else that warehouse of horrors has in store for the guy. Plus, while I wasn’t a fan of Jeff (Angus Macfadyen) in the beginning, the guy grew on me by the end.
