GHOST IN THE SHELL follows the Major (Scarlett Johansson), a special operations, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9. Devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists, Section 9 is faced with an enemy whose singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotic's advancements in cyber technology. Based on the manga series of the same name, you can check out a new promo (with the trailer added) as well as the latest poster below!

I can't claim to be the biggest fan of anime (or manga, for that matter), but GHOST IN THE SHELL was always one that was on my bucket list. I'm sure that fans of the original probably would advise AGAINST seeing the live-action iteration first, but if it's bad, at least I won't be too sore about it. I actually really dgg Rupert Sander's directorial style for SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN, so here's hoping he can really shine with a solid story behind him.

GHOST IN THE SHELL opens in theaters on March 31, 2017.
