Who doesn’t love a good giveaway? Espeically when the prize is 100 DVDs of the most notorious and kickass horror/sci-fi/suspense movies ever made. That’s right bucko, such a contest exists, and it comes at us from the Electronic Arts folk, in conjunction with their game DEAD SPACE (due out October ’08)!

I’ll let the EA team speak for themselves:

The Electronic Arts (EA) Dead Space team has watched a ton of Horror and Science Fiction films while developing and creating the scariest, most realistic survival/horror game to ever hit the streets, and now they want to pass their collection on to you! By registering below for the Dead Space Newsletter, you will be entered to win a hundred DVDs, hand picked by members of the Dead Space Development Team. Users have until midnight on July 27th, 2008 to sign-up, and a winner will be notified shortly thereafter. With films that range from 12 Monkeys to 2001: A Space Odyssey, Alien to Predator to Alien vs. Predator, this giveaway is the most comprehensive way to own the very best collection of Horror and Sci-fi films to date.

Sounds awful generous, doesn’t it? Hell I might enter myself! To do so, click it HERE.

Want to see the list of 100? Head on over HERE to check out the titles (of course, you probably own at least half of them already, but back-ups can’t hurt!).

And if you’re curious about the DEAD SPACE game, here’s what it’s all about: The plot revolves around Isaac Clarke, a space engineer who works for the Concordance Extraction Corporation (C.E.C), a company that operates “giant mining ships” throughout the galaxy. His company receives a distress call from the USG Ishimura, a “Planet Cracker” class ship that destroys planets in order to extract valuable ore. Assuming that the ship has had a mechanical failure, Isaac and two other C.E.C employees set out to rendezvous with the Ishimura. They soon discover that the ship has been overrun by a hostile alien race. After boarding the ship, Clarke is separated from his party and must battle his way through various hazardous environments to safety.
