It has been revealed via TV Guide that Scott Wilson (right, BEHIND THE MASK: THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON) and Lauren Cohan (below, “SUPERNATURAL”) have landed recurring roles on Season 2 of “THE WALKING DEAD.”

Wilson will play Hershel Greene, who owns the farm that Rick and the other survivors find in their travels. He’s a veterinarian with a great sense of humanity and a very unique take on the walkers. Cohan will play his daughter, Maggie, who ends up as a romantic interest for Glenn.

They join the previously announced Pruitt Taylor Vince, who plays the Greene’s ranch hand, Otis. The returning cast includes Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, Sarah Wayne Callies, Laurie Holden, Jeffrey DeMunn, Steven Yeun and Chandler Riggs.

“THE WALKING DEAD” Season 2 is currently in production in Atlanta, Georgia. AMC’s hit zombie series is based on the graphic novels of the same name by Robert Kirkman. It will premiere later this year with an episode written by showrunner Frank Darabont.
