Abeyance Harley Wallen Scout Taylor-Compton

Today is HALLOWEEN (2007) heroine Scout Taylor-Compton's birthday, so it seems like the perfect time to share the trailer for her latest film, writer/director Harley Wallen's sci-fi action thriller ABEYANCE

Ten years after she last faced masked slasher Michael Myers in HALLOWEEN II, Taylor-Compton is taking on the role of a mask-wearing antagonist herself in Wallen's film. She can be seen tormenting people throughout the trailer.

Also starring Richard Tyson, Billy Wirth, Mel Novak, Vida Ghaffari, Erika Hoveland, Angelina Cama, Damien Chinappi, Kaiti Wallen, Calhoun Koenig, Yan Birch, and Harley Wallen himself, ABEYANCE tells the following story:

After helping to create a revolutionary invention with great implications Bridget (Hoveland), finds a character flaw in the company they’ve partnered with to develop the prototype that could be the fountain of youth. When she pulls the plug and ties to step away from their original deal, she immediately realizes they will stop at nothing to get it back. After her family gets kidnapped to sway a favorable vote, their hopes rely on their teen daughter Miranda (Cama) and her unlikely allies, Corey (Chinappi), a suicidal military veteran, and Stephanie, (Kaiti Wallen), a prostitute.

Harley Wallen had this to say about his film:

Life everlasting, the holy grail, the fountain of youth has always been intriguing, but as technology advancements move at such an incredible pace and it almost feels within our grasps, what will we do when we reach that point? I love moral dilemmas and I love seeing the humanity when the stakes are as high as they get… Well, that’s ABEYANCE!"

ABEYANCE doesn't have a release date yet, but here's the trailer, courtesy of Painted Creek Productions:
