Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse prepares you with a poster and clip

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

The release date for Paramount Pictures' SCOUTS VS. ZOMBIES has been shuffled around a bit, but it ended up with an appropriate Halloween weekend date that it appears the studio is going to stick with, although "SCOUTS VS. ZOMBIES" won't be on theatre marquees: the project has been given the cute-but-a-mouthful new title SCOUTS GUIDE TO THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE.

With just over three months to go until people will be deciding whether or not to say that whole title when buying their ticket, the SCOUTS GUIDE marketing machine has officially fired up with the release of a poster and a "Wildlife Badge" clip that shows Scouts facing off with an unexpected variety of zombie.

Directed by Christopher Landon (PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE MARKED ONES) and starring Tye Sheridan, Halston Sage, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Dumont, David Koechner, and Cloris Leachman, SCOUTS GUIDE TO THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE has this for an official synopsis:

Three Scouts and lifelong friends join forces with one bad-ass cocktail waitress to become the world’s most unlikely team of heroes. When their peaceful town is ravaged by a zombie invasion, they’ll fight for the badge of a lifetime and put their scouting skills to the test to save mankind from the undead.

I've been on board for this horror/comedy ever since it was first announced, it sounds really fun to me, and the quick Wildlife clip has exactly the sort of tone I hoped they would be going for.

SCOUTS GUIDE TO THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE opens October 30th, and I will be there with popcorn in hand.
