Scream Factory reveals details on Monkey Shines, The Dark Half Blu-rays

If you're a fan of George Romero's work then you'll love what those crazy cats over at Scream Factory have up their sleeves for November.

Scream Factory has announced that they will be releasing Romero’s MONKEY SHINES (1988) and THE DARK HALF (1993) on November 18, and now we've got the Blu-ray details to share with ya.

MONKEY SHINES, based on the novel by Michael Stewart, focuses on…

…a paralyzed man (Jason Beghe) who receives a trained monkey to help with his needs, only for the animal to start carrying out his darkest impulses.

In addition to the 1.78:1 widescreen transfer, the Blu-ray will include:

  • New audio commentary by Romero
  • New “An Experiment In Fear – The Making of MONKEY SHINES” retrospective with Romero, actors Beghe, John Pankow and Kate McNeil, executive producer Peter Grunwald, special makeup FX creator Tom Savini, special makeup FX assistants Greg Nicotero and Everett Burrell and editor Pasquale Buba (49 minutes)
