Scream Factory’s My Bloody Valentine Blu-ray has new transfer of unrated cut

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Nice! Looks like our buddies over at Scream Factory will be bringing us a must-own 2-Disc Collector’s Edition of the original 1981 slasher flick classic MY BLOODY VALENTINE in February 2020. What makes it must-own, you ask? Well, they are doing a new transfer of the unrated cut of the film!

As mentioned above, this is being presented as a 2-Disc Collector’s Edition and will come guaranteed with a slipcover in its first three months. The newly commissioned artwork – which you can see below – comes to us from artist Joel Robinson. This art will be front-facing and the reverse side of the wrap will feature the original theatrical artwork. New special features are in progress and will be announced on a later date.

Meanwhile, remember the original film begins when

a group of friends defy the rules of a legendary murderer and discover he is real when they start celebrating Valentine's Day.

George Mihalka directed MY BLOODY VALENTINE from a screenplay written by John Beaird from a story by Stephen Miller. John Dunning produced along with Andre Link and Stephen Miller. Paul Kelman starred in the slasher classic along with Lori Hallier, Neil Affleck, Don Francks, Cynthia Dale, Alf Humphreys, Keith Knight, and Patricia Hamilton. Paramount Pictures unleashed it into a theater near your parents back on February 11, 1981.

Scream Factory's 2-Disc Collector’s Edition hits on February 4, 2020. Will you be snagging a copy for someone you love? Let us know below!
