Seann William Scott returns in first trailer for Goon: Last of the Enforcers

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

After one too many concussions, hockey enforcer Doug Glatt (Seann William Scott) is forced to give up his aspirations of going to the big show and settle into a buttoned down career as an insurance salesman at the urging of his pregnant wife Eva (Alison Pill). However, Doug can’t resist the siren call of the Highlanders, so he sets course to reclaim his former glory. Check out his path in the following red-band trailer!

2011's GOON proved to be one of the better sports comedies in recent memory, with Seann William Scott absolutely killing his role as enforcer Doug Glatt. Writer Jay Baruchel has returned to this sequel, also choosing to make it his directorial debut in the realm of feature film, so I'm hoping for the best. This trailer doesn't give much of the plot away, but it does let us know that more of the humor from the first film will be intact. Thank the hockey Gods!

GOON: LAST OF THE ENFORCERS will open on March 17, 2017.
