Part 5 of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was to be a Riverdale crossover!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Netflix's CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA – an adaptation of the Archie comic-book character and remake of the kid-friendly Melissa Joan Hart show – has unfortunately been cancelled. While that's sad enough, especially for the show's devoted cult audience, there's also the fact that creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa went on Twitter to tease that the now scrapped Part 5 would've been a crossover with CW's RIVERDALE (whose characters shared a universe with Sabrina and her coven in the Archie comics):

Meanwhile, here's the official synopsis for Part 4:

the Eldritch Terrors will descend upon Greendale. The coven must fight each terrifying threat one-by-one (The Weird, The Returned and The Darkness, to name a few), all leading up to The Void, which is the End of All Things. As the witches wage war, with the help of the Fright Club, Nick (Gavin Leatherwood) begins to slowly earn his way back into Sabrina’s heart, but it may be too late.

Damn! Would've been awesome if they could've somehow made that work (I kinda fell off of RIVERDALE, but this would've definitely pulled me back in.) However there is a petition to keep the show going, which has already earned over 12,000 signatures. Here's what the petition says:

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is an extremely popular show on the streaming service Netflix. On July 8th, 2020 it was announced that the show would be ending after its fourth season. We are petitioning to bring this back after it’s unfair cancellation and ask that it be renewed for a fifth season. The show is extremely loved by fans and we hope this petition can bring the show back from the dead.

No official release date announced as of yet, but we'll keep you updated!

So what do you guys think? Any fans of the show? If so, what're your thoughts on a RIVERDALE crossover? Either way, sound off below!
