Steven Soderbergh's retirement from the world of big-screen movies certainly didn't last long as the director is currently shooting LOGAN LUCKY, a heist film set in the world of NASCAR which will mark Soderbergh's first feature-film since 2013's SIDE EFFECTS. Production on LOGAN LUCKY has been underway in Atlanta for a week and now THR reports that there's been a late addition to the cast.

Sebastian Stan (CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR) will be joining up with LOGAN LUCKY as a "three-time Sprint Cup Champion NASCAR driver who is coming back into the sport after time away." The film also stars Channing Tatum, Daniel Craig, Hilary Swank, Katherine Heigl, Riley Keough, Adam Driver, Katherine Waterston and Seth MacFarlane. We still don't know much about LOGAN LUCKY just yet, other than it will center on two brothers who attempt to pull off a robbery at the Charlotte Motor Speedway and has been described as being in the vein of OCEAN'S 11, but with hillbillies. Yeehaw. Steven Soderbergh has also been sharing photos from the set on Twitter, so I'm sure we can expect to see more throughout the shoot.

LOGAN LUCKY is expected to hit theaters on October 13, 2017.
