Three months after the first trailer dropped for director Tate Taylor's psychological thriller THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN, a second trailer has arrived to help build the hype for the October 7th release.

Although I am intrigued and want to see the movie, I feel a bit uncertain about the marketing decisions after watching the new trailer. I haven't read the Paula Hawkins novel that the film is based on, but it seems like this trailer is showing us way too much, and when paired with the first it almost appears that they've given the whole movie away. Hopefully that isn't the case.

Written by Tate Taylor and Erin Cressida Wilson, THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN tells the following story:

Rachel, who is devastated by her recent divorce, spends her daily commute fantasizing about the seemingly perfect couple who live in a house that her train passes every day, until one morning she sees something shocking happen there and becomes entangled in the mystery that unfolds.

Emily Blunt plays the title character and is joined in the cast by Haley Bennett, Luke Evans, Rebecca Ferguson, Edgar Ramírez, Allison Janney, Laura Prepon, Lisa Kudrow, and Justin Theroux.
