See hot MMA fighter Gina Carano beat up Ewan McGregor on the set of Steven Soderbergh’s Haywire

JoBloJoBlo

Make what you will of Steven Soderbergh’s decision to retire from the directing game, but the prolific filmmaker’s still got a few right hooks left to unleash on the lot of us before throwing in the towel.

One of those hooks is HAYWIRE (previously known as KNOCKOUT), boasting the impressive cast of MMA hottie Gina Carano, Ewan McGregor, Michael Douglas, Channing Tatum, Michael Fassbender, Antonio Banderas, and Bill Paxton. The “ultra-realistic” action spy-thriller has quietly been in the works since last year, and it’s finally getting itself ready to punch us in the face later this summer. Now, speaking of getting punched in the face…

HAYWIRE is currently scheduled for release sometime this August. Check out the pics below and see even more over at Zimbio!

Synopsis: Beautiful freelance covert operative Mallory Kane (Gina Carano) is hired out by her handler to various global entities to perform jobs which governments can’t authorize and heads of state would rather not know about. After a mission to rescue a hostage in Barcelona, Mallory is quickly dispatched on another mission to Dublin. When the operation goes awry and Mallory finds she has been double crossed, she needs to use all of her skills, tricks and abilities to escape an international manhunt, make it back to the United States, protect her family, and exact revenge on those that have betrayed her.
