I have a confession: I personally don’t find a shirtless Will Ferrell to be inherently funny. Seeing him display his pasty, nappy-haired torso may have been good for a couple of laughs on SNL and maybe OLD SCHOOL and ANCHORMAN, but his unsightly doughy physique seems to be the main focus of too many intended jokes. I’d love to see him tackle more quirky STRANGER THAN FICTION kind of material, but it looks like just he’ll keep running around topless as long as the tickets sell.
