Serial killer flick The Fields gets financial aid from Infinity Media

It turns out that the serial killer/cop procedural THE FIELDS has been casting this whole time and they didn’t even have all the money they needed to complete it! Such is life when making an indie… Ah, but that’s a worry of the past now, with Variety reporting that production company Infinity Media (CAPOTE, JUST FRIENDS) has come aboard the project to shell out the rest of the cash needed to complete the project. Ain’t that nice?

In the film, Sam Worthington stars as a Texas homicide detective who joins with a New York detective to investigate unsolved murders in the Texas bayous. Chloe Moretz, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Jessica Chastain round out the current cast; filming is expected to begin this month, with Louisiana standing in for Texas, under the direction of Ami Canaan Mann. Mann’s famous director daddy Michael is executive producing.
