Sex Education, Season 3, premiere

The school bell tolls for Netflix's Sex Education, now that a premiere date for Season 3 is in session. The coming-of-age comedy is set to return to the streaming platform on Friday, September 17, 2021.

The third season will offer 8 brand-new episodes of the series, which finds many of its characters continuing their awkward and hilarious journey through adolescence. Per TV Line, in the upcoming season, Otis (Asa Butterfield) is having casual sex, Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) and Adam (Connor Swindells) have made their relationship official, and Jean (Gillian Anderson) has a baby on the way. Meanwhile, new headteacher Hope (played by Girls‘ Jemima Kirke) tries to return Moordale to the pillar of excellence it’s always been. Fans can also expect Aimee to discover feminism, while Jackson gets a crush and a lost voicemail still looms. Prepare yourselves for commitment animals, alien phenomena, vulva cupcakes, and much more of Madam Groff.

Some new characters are also enrolling in Sex Education for the upcoming season, including Jason Isaacs (The Patriot, Black Hawk Down) as Peter Groff, Mr. Groff’s more successful and not-very-modest older brother; recording artist Dua Saleh, making their acting debut as Cal, a nonbinary Moordale student who instantly clashes with Hope’s new vision for the school; and Indra Ové (Resident Evil, The Fifth Element) as Anna, foster mother to Maeve’s half-sister, Elsie.

In addition to announcing the show's triumphant return, Netflix shared several photos from the upcoming season:
