Shiftling poster!

I stumbled across the new poster for THE SHIFTLING today, and was surprised to find I haven’t heard one single thing about this beast before–well, that’s all about to change!

Written and directed by Taegen Carter, and starring Justin Davanzo and Gina DeVettori (below), THE SHIFTLING goes a little something like this: When Allen Monroe, the star reporter for an adventure magazine, searches for his lost friend, he finds he has become the target of an indestructible creature known as the Shiftling. Deathless and able to enter people to control them, the Shiftling is aware that Monroe is one of the last on Earth to know about its only weakness: a forsaken relic able to subdue. Searching for the relic as well is the Technology Titan, a billionaire who sees potential immortality by capturing and studying the Shiftling. The deadly search for the relic pits man against man as the Shiftling methodically hunts them.

Sounds like a blast to me! It’s part PREDATOR, part FALLEN, part THE RELIC, and all fun! The poster is what really sucked me and made me want to know more–which is exactly what a poster’s supposed to do, so bravo!

I only wish I could actually see who this dude is, as I can tell he’s a freakin’ badass, and I can’t help to think of the poster for THE SHOOTER with Marky Mark when I look at this… those small points aside, I’m totally sold! And what’s with PREDATOR-style symbols in the background? Oh, the mysteries of THE SHIFTLING have already started!

No word on a release date, or whether it’s going theatrical or STD–all we have is the poster, and for right now… that’s good enough for me. Stick around for more on THE SHIFTLING as we hear it!
