Latino Review were armed to the teeth (i.e., they had a digital camera on them) when they stormed this year’s 2007 ShoWest exhibition, and were kind enough to snag pics of a bunch of the upcoming movie posters that will be hitting cineplexes at some point this year.
Among the hordes of blockbusters and dumb-ass looking comedies, they happened upon the new kick-ass poster for THE STRANGERS, from writer/director Bryan Bertino. Starring the ever bodacious Liv Tyler, as well as some other dudes (Scott Speedman & Kip Weeks), the film is about a young couple cozied up in a vacation home who are terrorized by three unknown assailants.
And just check out this poster! Click on that porcelain face above, or right HERE to see the full image, as it’s totally rockin’ it old school. White border. Big knife. Scary mask. And let’s not forget the awesome tag line: Lock the Door. Kill the Lights. Pretend You’re Safe. Seriously, this poster just made my day!
As it’s coming from Rogue Pictures, it’s no surprise the poster is on the more creative side, as they’ve rocked the more inspiring posters before (remember the one for CRY_WOLF?), let’s just hope the movie is as badass as the poster is.
Surprisingly, this was the only genre poster to be sneaked by Latino Review at the ol’ ShoWest. Nothing for Rob’s HALLOWEEN. Nothing for SAW IV. But considering the coolness of this one poster, I’d say this one is all we need! Look for THE STRANGERS in theaters this summer, as it’s currently scheduled for a July 13th release.
