Considering that horror movies seem to invite the biggest influx of hot actresses taking their clothes of for necessary scenes, this news sounds great to me. It appears that Jessica Simpson will be making the jump into the horror genre, as director C.L. Gregory told Horror-Movies.ca that the busty blonde is in final negotiations to star in his film THE KENTUCKY FRIED HORROR SHOW. According to Gregory, the film should start filming by the end of the year.
Gregory also had a lot to say about the pop singer turned actress, as he said “The girl that can become the next horror scream queen. I felt that the script needed someone that could carry the weight of its character and without doubt, Jessica was my first and only consideration for the role. She’s never done a horror film to date and we felt she was ready for a project like this as it will be a very emotional and demanding piece of work for her. But I don’t see anyone who can pull it off better than Jessica Simpson.”
And in terms of the tone of the film, Gregory chimed in by saying “I wanted to put the grind back into grindhouse. The movie is simply about a group of college kids on spring break that head to Florida from New York via road trip. Once they get into Kentucky things change from good to bad when they encounter a murderous southern religious cult that has an appetite for blood letting.”
That doesn’t sound too bad to me, as long as there is a huge rainstorm and Jessica Simpson, by some off chance, is wearing a thin-white spaghetti string top.
