Ever since Carrie Sissy Spacek has freaked me out and given me the creeps- I can’t look at her without seeing her drenched with pigs blood. With her in The Ring 2, her creepiness will finally pay off, and now I’m excited to say that her next horror film An American Haunting, started filming this week in Romania (funny how that works….). Variety reports that the movie, co-starring Donald Sutherland, James D’Arcy and Rachel Hurd-Wood, is based on the only documented true case of death by haunting in American history, back in the 1800s. If that doesn’t sound scary enough for you, did I mention Sissy Spacek’s in it? Holy Crap! You couldn’t get a creepier actress for a horror movie! (Of course, Glenn Close is a close second in every movie she’s ever been in. Yikes!) Could this mean that Spacek has finally answered her calling as the queen of horror by returning to her roots and scaring the pants off of us? We can only hope so…
