Do you guys remember the 80’s cheesy horror romp SLAUGHTER HIGH? It may be tough for some of you to tell a movie with a title like that apart from every other slasher from the 80’s. I’m also sure that, like me, many of you do indeed remember the flick, but just for those that don’t, here’s a quick plot refresher:
A group of popular students play a cruel prank on a shy nerd resulting in a terrible accident. Years later a reunion is held where each of the students face a stalker killer who may be the same nerd out for revenge.
I remember catching at least part of this flick many, many, many years ago. I recall the stalker wearing a creepy jester-type mask, which sort of resembled a clown, hence it freaked me out. I’ve tried to find SLAUGHTER HIGH a number of times on video and DVD, but to no avail. I even contemplated buying a bootleg copy at a convention last year, but held back. Good thing because…
Lionsgate Home Entertainment is finally releasing it on DVD this April 14th! That’s the official artwork for it up top. And you know what else? The flick is being presented in its original uncut format, which has yet to see the light of day! Good stuff! Lionsgate made a similar “uncut” discovery for their recent release of the original MY BLOODY VALENTINE.
