Slaughter trailer

Well, After Dark’s HORRORFEST 3 came and went with no more than a whimper. I wonder if it’ll be back to slash again next year? Regardless, all of this year’s 8 Films To Die For at least appeared to be solid entries in our genre. Take, for instance, SLAUGHTER, whose trailer we are now hosting in our videos section.

The trailer does seem to have a serviceable horror premise/look, albeit very similar to TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. It even boasts the now infamous “Inspired by True Events” moniker. Regardless, the desolate farm setting, the good-looking females, and the flashes of very uncomfortable torture still make me think that SLAUGHTER may be worth adding to the ol’ Netflix queue. Just click on the link below to have a look for yourself.

Here’s what the plot’s about: A young woman looks to escape her abusive life by moving to her family’s farm near Atlanta. Unfortunately, she learns her place of supposed comfort offers more terrifying forms of abuse.

The flick was written and directed by Stewart Hopewell and stars Antonia Bernath, Vance Daniels, Lucy Holt, Maxim Knight, and Amy Shiels. It’ll be on DVD on March 31st.
