It’s that time again- contest time! And these days, studios are tapping into the public’s creative skills to help promote their movies. And what a prize! From a design your own poster contest, to cut your own trailer together, the contests keep getting better and better, and SLITHER’s contest is no exception!

Think you can cut together the ultimate TV commerical spot for a movie about killer slugs, and all things gross? Then get your ass in gear and enter Universal Studio’s ‘Slug It Out’ SLITHER contest! The prize? $25,000.00 and a chance to have your work seen by millions as it participates in the advertising campaign for SLITHER! How frickin’ cool is that?

There’s two ways to go about this folks: one, the ‘do it yourself’ way, where you can use your very own editing software to cut together the ultimate horror TV spot, or two, the ‘flash it out’ way, where you use the software provided on the site to get your creative juices flowing, and a contest in your pocket. Either way, this contest looks like a blast!

From now until March 9th, you have your chance to win. After that, all the trailers are showcased on the site and you can vote for your favorite trailer. After that, 25 semi-finalists will be selected, then a top 5 will be selected- one will win the grand prize, and the other four will win $1,000 each, and SLITHER memorabilia. You’re a winner either way!

To see what I’m talking about, go HERE and get started- there’s no reason not to. It’s fun, and you could win thousands- not to mention have your work seen by millions! Watch for SLITHER oozing into theaters March 31st.
