Over the last few months or so, Kevin Smith has been yappin’ it up about his next project, the horror flick called RED STATE. At least, we all thought it was his next project, but according to a note on his messageboards, it looks like Smith’s next up may be another comedy after all.
Posted just a few days ago, check out what Smith had to say about the comedy script he just finished, and the possible fate of RED STATE: It’s really funny, really dirty, and really touching stuff. Granted, I’m biased. Now, onto “Red State”. Well, not now. First I’m gonna sleep. Then, I’ll take some down-time to work on this current bad boy before launching into the “Red State” script.
The good news? RED STATE is still on the horizon, and hasn’t been given the shaft completely. The bad news? Looks like we’ll have to wait that much longer for RED STATE to get started. I’m kind of bummed out about it, cause a Smith horror flick just sounds like a lot of fun to me, but as my Uncle Bob used to say: what can you do?
