SOAP Update

The week wouldn’t be complete without an update from the Samuel L. Jackson B-Movie thrill-machine SNAKES ON A PLANE. So what’s the latest on the SOAP front? There’s a new teaser out (actually it’s a few weeks old, but I missed it, so maybe you did too) which will be attached to this weekend’s CLICK, as well as winners announced for the SNAKES ON A PLANE music contest!



First up, the teaser. We got a heads up from Bannister that the teaser, which debuted online last week over at Movie-List, will be attached to Adam Sandler’s CLICK. If you haven’t seen it, check it out here and prepare to speem your shorts. Color me blown away, but they seem to hit the marketing nail on the head so far- let’s hope they keep it up. Not that they’d have to, they already have the best titled movie of the year thus far- that alone will propel it to infamy.



Also announced this week was the contest winners for New Line and Tag World’s SNAKES ON A PLANE Music Contest, in which songs submitted by bands all over the world were competing for a chance to have their SNAKES themed track play during the end credits. Props go out to Captain Ahab, as they won the contest with ‘Snakes on the Brain’, the song that will be playing over the muthaf*ckin’ credits. Runner-up band Louden Swain’s song ‘Here Come the Snakes’ also won, with placement in the film at some point or another (I’m guessing we get a peak as it’s playing on someone’s iPod on the plane, or something). And there you have it folks- SOAP will be entertaining audiences young and old in theaters everywhere in a little less than 2 months from now, and I can’t hardly wait to hear the ringing bells of ‘Snakes on a Plane has the biggest movie opening ever’ on the news shortly thereafter. Tell them Snakes to be cool! Say ‘Snakes be cool’! Say ‘Snakes be cool’! Tell them f*ckin’ Snakes to chill! August 18th folks, August 18th…
