Damn, Robert Rodriguez moves fast! While some filmmakers languish in pre-production for months to years, Rodriguez can film an entire movie, edit it himself, and have it hit theaters while juggling two or three other projects. He is like a Guillermo Del Toro whose multiple projects actually come to fruition. The latest is MACHETE KILLS.
Sofia Vergara’s son, Manolo, posted some behind the scenes footage of his visit to Troublemaker Studios where his mother was filming her role as Maneater, a dominatrix who may be firend or foe to Danny Trejo’s Machete. This is all a part of Manolo’s online video show, “Mi Vida Con Toty.”
I must warn you, young Manolo is f**king annoying as hell.
MACHETE KILLS follows up the first film by having the U.S. government recruit Machete to battle his way through Mexico in order to take down an arms dealer who looks to launch a weapon into space.
Sofia Vergara is smoking hot in that leather outfit. While I would have preferred some more worthwhile commentary in the video, it is awesome to see Rodriguez at work. Say what you will about some of the man’s output, but he does it all on his own terms and I respect that greatly.
At this rate, we may see MACHETE KILLS sooner rather than later in 2013.
