Variety reported yesterday that Sony Pictures just picked up the movie rights to Elizabeth’s Kostova’s upcoming debut novel THE HISTORIAN for a whopping seven figures!

The book gets published June 14th, so who knows how long it will be until we see this biotch, but it sounds like it’ll be worth the wait.

Vampires, especially real-life vampires, are just plain cool, and if it’s anything like movies of this nature from the past (INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE comes to mind), then I can’t wait.
