The DARKNESS is invading Cannes… with hotties! Yes, the brand new promo poster for the genre remake AND SOON THE DARKNESS has been unveiled by Studio Canal. You can view the giant one-sheet above. What do you guys think? Although we can’t see a whole lot of them, I feel it was a wise choice to present the flick’s two gorgeous female stars, Amber Heard and Odette Yustman, first and let the lone dude (STAR TREK’s Karl Urban) bring up the rear.

Seriously, though, with the vivacious sex appeal of DARKNESS’s two dames, I’m pretty sure that most of us are already sold. Regardless, here is the plot: Set in Argentina, the film tells the story of two American girls on a bike-riding trip in a remote part of the country. When one of them goes missing, the other must find her before darkness falls and her worst fears are realized.

It could be interesting. I never saw the original and since it doesn’t contain Heard and Yustman, I don’t really care to. The flick is being directed by Marcos Efron from a script by Jennifer Derwingson. It’s looking to release some time in 2010.
